Mai The history of the ChivasThe Bladnoch distillery, situated on the river of the same name, is the southernmost whisky distillery in Scotland still in production. Founded in 1817, the distillery has experienced some very dark times: numerous changes of ownership and temporary closures. In 2015, the distillery was acquired by an Australian entrepreneur who breathed new life into Bladnoch and modernized it. Bladnoch matured for 8 years in bourbon barrels with a finish in red wine
