Originally intended as a simple workwear hat, it was often customized by soldiers themselves. The brim shortened, the shape changed until it became caps with a small peak, as we know them today. Buzz Rickson's picks up on exactly this development. Not a reinterpretation, but a clean reproduction of these improvised
