For a long time there was no plastic with which to create the extravagant shape. At the end of the 1960s, the Herman Miller company experimented with a painted polyurethane foam but this was not the final solution. This chair is therefore around 55 years old, with signs of wear, but is stable and in good condition. Due to its age, it was not intended for sitting, but as a showpiece.
