The Chianti Classico Riserva with the melodious nickname "Bugialla" is also made from 100 percent Sangiovese as are most of the other wines at Poggerino. As is usual for a Riserva, only the best grapes are used. In the case of Poggerino, grapes from vines that were planted back in 1973 by Piero's mother, Contessa Floriana. Vinification takes place in
