Designed in 1936 for the Milan Triennale, it showcases Aalto's idea of modernity without metal. Instead, it features bent birch lamellae, a common material in Finland, which form wide armrests hence the name "Tank". The armchair is voluminous, deep, and pleasantly low. This particular piece combines the clear lacquered birch frame with a zebra fabric upholstery and is in like new
