Production takes place in an 18th century cotton mill and uses partly organically grown barley. The distillery gets its electricity from a power station that dams the waters of the River Teith a few miles away . Deanston Virgin Oak matured for an unspecified period of time in former bourbon barrels before being further matured in fresh oak barrels
