Hat sits atop the head and secures with a small panel at the back of the head. Bobby pins should be used to secure. The hat is in excellent condition and the veil in decent condition. There are a few breaks in the netting but not enough (in my opinion) to warrant replacing as it's not noticeable unless you are closely inspecting it. This hat will fit any head size as it merely perches
