40's Black Velvet Rhinestone Button Beret Hat by Leslie James black silk top Fabric is “poodlecloth” wool withVintage beret from the late 1940's to early 1950's. Body is black velvet styled with a little upturn in the front and 2 underneath points to keep it upturned. On the back is an array of rhinestone buttons shaped in a V which I believe indicates victory which was a common theme after WWII. Interior is lined in a black twill with the standard petersham ribbon. Excellent condition but 4 of the buttons are missing some small rhinestones. Tagged a size 22,
