They have padded knees and hips and I believe they were actually designed to be worn for BMX or dirt bike racing. There are zippered Pockets at knees and ankles also have zippered areas. They're in great vintage condition with no holes. Measured laying flat waist 17. 5 inches hips 21in rise 12 inch inseam 27 in. Modern size 14.
