I think perhaps the shoulder straps might have been shortened at some point

The front hemline is tulip shaped

Jacket has covered decorative buttons on faux pockets

Belt loops are present along with a clasp belt with a leaf design

as are the sleeves

1940s Rayon Tricot Nightgown by Rodgers shrug I think perhaps the shoulder1940s cap sleeve nightgown in super soft rayon tricot. Bodice has lace insets and separate waist piece. Excellent condition with some loss of thread that held the shirring in place, see photos. I didn't note any holes or staining. Shown on a size 2 form but should fit up to a medium. Tag reads a size 38. Shoulder: 13" Bust: 34" flat and unstretched, will fit a 38" as stated Waist: 28" flat, stretching easily to 30" Hip: pretty free due to a line cut
