There is a large swag over one hip and dress closes with a back metal zipper

There is no waist seam but princess seams running from beneath the bust

Unlined jacket has padded shoulders

1930s/40s Emerald Green Velvet Dress 1960_dress Smocked waist area is 4Late 30s early 40s emerald green velvet dress, feels like rayon. High neckline with shirring at shoulders and over bust. There is a shaped and fitted waistband and gored A line skirt. 3 4 length sleeves have cuffs and decorative shank buttons. There are metal zippers at the nape of the neck and on one side. Dress is in very good condition with a few flaws. Some minor scarring to the velvet but no balding that I noted. There is a dark smudge below one
