The dress buttons and ties in the front. The fabric is a cotton poly blend is in excellent condition. The fabric has a crinkle to it which adds a texture to the dress. The style is hard to pin down. I know has been stored at least 50 years (wow) in my elderly neighbor's home. She may have worn it to work in the flower shop or bank that she worked
