There is a mend (see last photo) in the jacket back near the hem
There is also an attached waist tie
1940s Lilac Bows Dress fedora tight 26”1940s lightweight rayon dress by Jennifer Junior. Tag has a date written on it, April 4, 1946, which indicates it was worn for a special occasion, possibly a wedding. Bodice has padded shoulders, snap closure at the neckline and lots of detailing over the front. Skirt is softly a line. There is a matching belt that snaps closed. It was near impossible to capture the true color of the fabric. It's not quite as vibrant a purple as most of the photos
