vintage of uncertain age! fine navy wool crepe and gold lamé striped fortuny style scarf 1940s the odd missing stitch toI've had this for such a long time now while I puzzled over it! At first glance it could be relatively recent (70s 80s?) but when you look closer the material seems earlier, in a Fortuny style pleat, as does the style of fringe. I've shown it to another dealer who also thought it was pre war but it's really hard to say for certain.. I'm still undecided! Measures: When unstretched it is approx 10' wide, stretching up to approx 24" It's roughly 78" long
