It slips over the wearer's head and does up with five hidden shell buttons on the left side of the neck

It does up the left side with a hidden metal zipper

which are clearly shown in the last two photos

It was made in Italy from two layers of viscose chiffon with a novelty hat print. It fastens with three shell buttons at the back and two at the back of the neck.
