Darien (besseae) is a yet undescribed species from premontane forests in the Darién Province of Panama
The plants have been greenhouse hardened and are much more tolerant of swings in temperature and humidity than plants grown under softer conditions or those freshly out of tissue culture
Nepenthes chaniana is a Bornean endemic and was one of the first montane Nepenthes species I observed in the wild
