The painting depicts Napoleon seated in his carriage examining battle plans (likely Waterloo), the carriage pulled by four horses on a cobbled road through woodland & flanked by his generals, with his army bringing up the rear. The painting is signed lower right "R. Desvarreux" & dated "1906",
