Antique Mahogany Carved Chippendale Demi-Lune Queen Anne Game Console Table 1900 Sold circa 1775A very fine quality antique Chippendale style plum mahogany game console table, attributed to Gillows of Lancaster, circa 1910. The table is of demi lune form when closed & opens to form a full circle, the table top having beautiful 'plum pudding' grained mahogany, a highly prized pattern found within certain mahogany wood, particularly Honduran mahogany. This figuring resembles large, swirling drips or blotches in the grain, reminiscent of the fruit
