After praying to the Virgin, the storm calmed, and they found a statue of the Virgin, miraculously dry, floating in the sea. In Santeria, Caridad del Cobre is syncretized with the orisha Oshun, the goddess of femininity, fertility and love. This cast resin statue stand 5" high.
