Victorian Horseshoe Brooch Sold stamped ‘AG925’A charming Victorian 18ct gold chrysoberyl cats eye and natural pearl horseshoe brooch. The cabochon chrysoberyls alternate around the horseshoe with natural half pearls. During the Victorian era, the horseshoe symbol was a popular motif in jewellery, often associated with good luck, protection, and love. Its upward pointing design symbolised the collection of good luck. This piece was made circa 1870 Measurements: 1. 8cm x 1. 7cm.
