Monumental Antique Japanese Meiji Period Imari Porcelain Charger Plate 1880 Redo Gouache crayon and chalk onA fine & monumetal Japanese Meiji period Porcelain charger plate, circa 1890. The charger is very finely decorated with underglaze blue, red iron oxide glazes and heightened with gilded decoration. To the center of the charger are concentric circles of floral decoration, surround by a landscape decoration scene of prunus & bamboo, with two stylized fans facing opposite. The rear of the charger is also decorated with six floral panels and three
