Victorian Coral Cameo Brooch of Bacchante Horn the Empire State BuildingDating back to around 1870 this silver and silver gilt cameo brooch depicting a Bacchante is typical of the Classical revival style of the time. This Bacchante displays vines and grapes in her hair. The brooch is decorated with silver laurel leaves and silver gilt bows with three joined ball decoration also in silver gilt at each end. The pin is metal and there is a replaced safety catch. Bacchantes, the female devotees of Bacchus, Roman god of
