The Saturday Club that the Beatles recorded at the Playhouse Theatre on the evening of March 31st 1964 was transmitted four days later on April 4th. At the time, the boys were filming a live performance at the Scala Theatre for the A Hard Days Night film and three of the songs on this EP were due to feature in the film.
