Sugilite is a very rare sodium potassium lithium silicate mineral that is prized for its bright purple tone and was first discovered in Japan in 1944 and is named for its discover, Professor Ken ichi Sugi. These specimens are sourced from a pocket of incredible quality in South Africa and have been coated in resin to protect their raw, natural state. Crystal measures approx. 2cm x 1. 8cm x 0. 7cm.
