The front is glazed a black walnut and then painted White. I've used a piece of jute for hanging. What a great addition to your holiday decor. All of our signs are painted, stenciled, sanded and stained by hand. Due to our distressing methods no 2 signs are alike, we use only local pine wood with knots, dings and dents (imperfections).
