The N is surmounted by a viscount’s coronet which was an appointment made after his victory at the Battle of the Nile in 1798 and the B is surmounted by a ducal coronet representing the Sicilian dukedom of Bronte which was conferred by Ferdinand IV of the Two Sicilies in 1779
with very pretty pale pink and blue enamel leaves surrounding the central moonstone in a wreath-like design with a smaller moonstone drop
