It allows you to push the vacuum around and pickup solution as you go. The squeegee assembly assembly itself is sometimes referred to as a "trot mop", and can be raised or lowered depending on the task at hand. A raised position would be used for transport, or when using the handheld tools. A lowered position would be for recovering solution. The vac will recover
