Bolt Action: M24 Chaffee Light Tank Fantasy With the 172 building piecesDesigned to replace the M3 M5 Stuart light tanks, the M24 was intentionally kept lightweight with a thin glacis plate (only 25mm thick), though its steep slope increased its effectiveness. A significantly upgraded 75mm gun (compared to the 37mm gun on the Stuart) and its lower profile made it popular among its crews. The M24 was nicknamed Chaffee after US Army General Adna R. Chaffee, a key advocate for tank development and use in the US military.
