The reverse cross was done years back and the clones we grow closely resemble lowii with their upper pitchers and exudate production
The parents of this cross could not be more different and results are outstanding

Nepenthes zakriana, BE-3465 temperate Though it's considerably variable throughoutNepenthes zakriana BE 3465 is from the area around the abandoned Mamut Copper Mine in Sabah, Malaysia. This is a very interesting population since plants grow in very exposed areas under full sun. Note that this plant was previously classified under fusca; however, recent expeditions to the type locale have led to a revision of its taxonomy and split from fusca.
