Antique French Gilt Bronze Empire Neoclassical Statue Clock by Rabiat Paris 1810 Sold the work is housed inIncredible investment quality antique French gilded bronze Empire eight day clock, "Allegory of Poetry" Claude Franois Rabiat circa 1810, in excellent condition. The clock depicts a handsome tall winged angel holding a stylus and leaning on a column with two volumes on philosophy. The column with four portrait plaques including "Caesar" and the writer philosopher "Xenophon", there are two further portrait plaques to the side of the column, the clock
