Victorian Egyptian Revival Scarab Bangle Rhodium The Second French Empire lastedA substantial Victorian Egyptian Revival bangle in 22ct gold, circa 186070. At the centre is a large faience scarab, framed by enamelled ibis motifs and flanked by lotus flowers in coloured enamel, with three further green enamel lotus motifs along the upper section. Egyptian Revival jewellery became popular in the Victorian era, inspired by archaeological discoveries and a growing fascination with ancient Egyptian art and symbolism. Weight: 25. 1
