It documents John Coltrane's first session as a leader, and has been reissued at times under the title The First Trane!. The line up includes Johnnie Splawn (trumpet), Sahib Shihab (baritone saxophone), Red Garland and Mal Waldron (piano), Paul Chambers (bass), and Albert "Tootie" Heath (drums).
