Victorian Iridescent Sea Snail Shell Brooch Day & Night converted from an Edwardian periodDATE: Victorian, c. 1880 An incredible iridescent sea snail shell forms to body of this Victorian brooch (with silver fittings ingeniously added to the back). The spiral shell is ridged and grooved, and produces the most striking rainbow coloured shimmer as it moves in the light. Dating from the latter half of the 19th century, circa 1880.
