Cordell Pajarito Earring Toys By 1912 he and hisTufa Cast ellipse post earrings with a petroglyph pictograph inspired design. Tufa is a compressed volcanic ash material. When casting, the artist hand carves a design into tufa stone creating a negative space for molten metal to be poured. The use of tufa creates a beautiful, earthy pebble like texture on the silver. Cordell Pajarito of Kewa Pueblo (Santo Domingo Pueblo), born in 1988, is the grandson of esteemed jeweler Mary Lovato and second son of
