Rare Antique English Red Transferware Charger / Plate Pastoral Grazing Sheep Scrolls Castle Framed Birds Nest Print Minor crazingThis beautiful red transfer ware plate dates to sometime between 1891 1920. It is marked Pastoral on the back and was made by George Jones. The pretty plate depicts sheep grazing and a family in the background having a picnic. In the distance, far above is a castle overlooking the valley. The border has four cartouche's, containing two different sheep scenes, scrollwork and flowers. Absolutely gorgeous! The company began operation in c. 1864 at Stoke
