Widely held as the most important red grape of Campania, Aglianico is very complex, being bone dry, savory, and highly tannic. This wine shows flavors of white pepper, spiced plum, and game, and has an almost smoky character. Aglianico's may be cellared for quite some time to bring even more complexity and calm down those tannins. We'd suggest pairing this with a hearty steak, venison burgers, or Texas barbecue.
