This lovely egg cup is a vintage red transferware piece dating to about the 1930's
The plaques foot-rim has holes drilled in (done at time of manufacture as this was intended to hang on the wall) with wire attached for hanging
It looks a little like a plate from the Aesthetic Movement but it is not that old
