It really sets it apart and beautifully frames the scene of two men sitting atop tree trunk fishing at a lake in a rural Italian landscape. Around the border are delicate rosebuds and floral blooms. The glaze on this plate is a creamy color, reminding me of Wedgwood's early cream ware. It's got a lovely patina! Hand touches of periwinkle, blue, brown, gold, green and red. Measures 9 3 8"
