Found on the island of Corsica, which has been under French control since the 1760's, but maintains a distinct Italian culture. Vermentino is usually found in northern Italy, but also calls Corsica home, where the Mediterranean climate and maritime influence boosts the wine's salinity and minerality. Super refreshing with bright citrus notes, and would pair really nicely with grilled or fried sardines.
